Andrea Deng, Design Thinking & Social Entrepreneurship Coordinator
Andrea is passionate about design in social causes and is a second year at UC Berkeley studying Cognitive Science. She is actively involved in Berkeley Innovation, a human centered design club on UC Berkeley campus as well working to develop the new design minor and design building for the school. This past summer, she participated in the UCEAP study abroad program in Osaka University, Japan, where she learned about the cultural differences between Japan and the U.S. and how they interfere with cross-cultural teamwork. She hopes to bring together students of various backgrounds together in design thinking and projects to enable greater social change. Further, Andrea loves to try new things, especially things related to art. She loves to play the guitar, sing, and dance in her free time. She hopes to bring her artistic creativity and empathy into designs that will improve people’s lives. One day, she hopes to open up a creative space café that pairs people and ideas together with healthy, wholesome food and drink.
