Satomi Ohno, Japan Student Advisor & Program Mentor
Satomi Ohno is both a consultant at Instructional Design Lab based in Tokyo and a board member of NPO Blastbeat Japan. For several decades, she has worked as an instructional designer both online and off. She has taken a very unique career path, starting as a teacher, progressing to an IT producer, and now working as both a consultant and a non-profit board member. Her longest career is as an edutainment (education through entertainment) software producer. She joined a startup IT venture, called Sourcenext, and has been developing a number of award-winning educational software in the decades since. Recently, she has been serving various communities including schools, companies, NPOs and local governments as a consultant, mostly in the field of education, IT, career development & counseling, and instructional design. She has a Master degree in international relations and a license of GCDF Japan (Global Career Development Facilitator).
