Tatsuya Yoshiyasu
Hi guys, I’m glad to introduce myself here. I’m Tatsuya Yoshiyasu, and currently go California State Univ. Pomona as an exchange student majoring Hospitality Management. I’m originally an Int’l Liberal Arts major at Waseda Univ. as a junior student, so I guess I am from pretty much the same background as Amélie.
I’ve been devoting this year for learning hospitality management, so I’m really into that field now. This field is unique in that customers pay for services, not products, which are intangible offers with perishability and seasonality. Due to its special trait, managers in the field gotta face with uncommon aspects of hands-on performance, but at the same time it’s such a rewardable moment if you make it through. Seems I can talk hospitality for good, I shall stop here. Anyways, that’s pretty interesting job, isn’t it? As you can imagine, now I am pretty much see everything from hospitality perspectives, so I wanna dig into entrepreneurship from that viewpoint, I mean also in terms of other factors as well.
I love communication like no others. Probably that’s why I like to play violin. Like chatting and texting, playing violin is one way that you can express yourself to others, but making harmony with violin is as hard as acquiring new language. That’s one attractiveness though. So I’m looking forward to talking about it with Richard personally, haha.
Can’t wait to meet you guys to share and exchange splendid ideas. I will strive to be assertive enough to transmit my ideas to you guys, and being open enough to listen to your opinions also. I know that’s challenging to cooperate with others for whatsoever it may be, let’s say a group project, especially with someone from different background. It is, however, inevitable to face with such situations whatever position you will fit in near future, so I will make the most out of this program as one step that helps me jump up to next dimension.
With unlimited money, I would invest all of that into an invention of vehicle that can fly or airplane that can be driven. This idea didn’t come out of blue, but with reasons. In my opinion, “flow” is a key element of human development including flow of people, capital, and information to name a few. The advent of mobile, which enables people flow efficiently, and the advent of the Internet, which enables information flow easily, have changed human life immensely as you know. Well, even there are airplanes; limitations of human flow is still considerable. That’s why I think a flying vehicle can boost the civilization in various way. Isn't it cool that you commute to Hong Kong from Tokyo by flying vehicle, haha.
Thanks for reading, and hope to meet you guys soon in San Francisco! 만나서 반가워요! 很高兴认识你! よろしくね!
